This Christmas will you give families a lifeline when they need it most?

Nathan, Naomi, and Denise know how one phone call can change everything.

When life is turned upside down by lung disease, our Lung Foundation Australia Support Nurses and Social Worker bring expert care, comfort, guidance and hope.

Please give generously this holiday season.

This Christmas, your support could be the lifeline families like Naomi’s, Denise’s, and Nathan’s desperately need.

Naomi’s Story – Managing COPD together

Naomi’s journey with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) has been long and challenging. After years of struggling alone, she found support through our Respiratory Care Nurse, who provided the tools and encouragement she needed to reclaim control. “They walked me through my symptoms step-by-step,” she recalls. Today, Naomi's symptoms are under control, and she feels empowered, knowing she has a compassionate partner in her care journey.

Denise’s Story – Facing lung cancer with support

Denise, a retired nurse, found herself struggling after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Not wanting to burden her family, she kept her fears to herself until she made a call to one of our Lung Cancer Support Nurses, Julie, which changed everything. “I talked her ear off for an hour and a half,” she remembers. That call gave Denise both comfort and strength, helping her feel less alone in her fight against cancer.

Nathan's Story – Learning to live with silicosis

Nathan, a father of two young children, was used to an active life before silicosis changed everything. His daughter, just nine, once offered her own lungs to help him breathe easier. With the support of a dedicated Lung Foundation Social Worker, Nathan has learned how to manage his symptoms and lean on a community who understands. For his family, these connections bring both relief and hope.
