LAM Awareness Month
June is lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) Awareness month. LAM is a rare lung disease, primarily affecting women, it is a progressive condition and has no cure.
To mark LAM Awareness Month, I will be doing ‘Laps for LAM’ at the Terrey Hills oval on 26th June at 1:00pm (meet at the tennis courts). If you can join us it will be great to see you!
The Lung Foundation has announced the creation of the LAM Clinical Fellowship Fund, focused on building both clinical and research capacity in LAM here in Australia.
We’re aiming to raise $50,000 during the month of June, to fund the fellowship that will help strengthen specialist knowledge, expertise and future care pathways for people living with this rare lung disease.
Any donation made through this fundraiser will be directed to the new LAM Clinical Fellowship Fund.
