Back again...
Well I am back for my 6th year up north to join the 250km Trail To Triumph Journey. I have run 3 times, finished 2, didn't finish 1, part time/social media for 1 and support crew for 1. This year I will be heading back to attempt my third finish.
I'll be heading in with minimal training in the last 6 weeks after breaking my toe again for the second year in a row. Last year ruled me out for 12 weeks due to the break sadly missing running with my son but this year i've played it smart and not run.
Trail To Triumph is all about raising funds to support awareness programs highlighting the dangers of dust related disease.
The Trail to Triumph Journey, fondly known as ‘Tony’s Journey’ was created in memory of Tony Britton who lost his battle with Mesothelioma. A rare and currently incurable cancer caused by asbestos, his son Mat Britton has since founded ‘Trail to Triumph, an annual event which tackles the arduous terrain, running 250 kilometres, to commemorate the life of his dad and raise funds and awareness of Mesothelioma.
