Shine a Light Walk Ipswich 2026

I will walk with my purple lantern because...

I lost a very dear loved one, my Mother In Law Deanne, to Lung Cancer in 2025.

Now that I know lung cancer is Australia’s biggest cancer killer, and have experienced the heart ache that comes with losing someone too soon and to this cancer, I want to better support the vital
research which offers hope to other Australians who may now be living with, or will have to live with lung cancer...Ā

Every year, the Shine a Light campaign raises funds to brighten the future for Australians living with lung cancer. With your support, Lung Foundation Australia provides seed funding for the best and brightest researchers to undertake projects that support discoveries towards the prevention, management and cure of lung cancer. Scientific breakthroughs can take years to accomplish but every dollar makes a difference to the lives of people impacted by lung cancer.Ā Alongside research, practical support is just as critical, so we empower people living with lung cancer to make informed choices about treatment and management, through Lung Foundation Australia's Lung Cancer Support Nurse service.

Where there is light, there is hope. Every dollar builds a brighter future for Australians diagnosed with lung cancer.

Join me,Ā donate or say a few kind words to acknowledge this community walk and what it means for my family and I to do be doing it. We can try toĀ make a difference together šŸ’œ
