I am taking part in the Shine A Light walk around Darling Harbour on Nov 1^st 2026. By doing so, I am helping to benefit lung cancer research developments through Lung Foundation Australia's Hope Research Fund. Your donations will make a huge difference. Whatever you can donate will be so appreciated.  

Personally, I have recently discovered that Lung Cancer Research also benefits people like me who are living with lung disease of a different kind. During research projects, scientists and researchers have found ways to help people with COPD, PAH (which is what I have) and various other lung issues. A win/win situation.

 In Australia, more than 15,122 people will be diagnosed with lung cancer this year — that’s 41 every day. Almost 85% will be diagnosed at a late stage, making it our country’s most devastating cancer. But together, we are making progress. The National Lung Cancer Screening Program will support the early detection of lung cancer through targeted lung cancer screening for asymptomatic high-risk individuals.
