Like every metastatic lung cancer patient, I am alive today because of research - and I depend on the continuity of that research for my survival.
One Australian an hour dies of lung cancer. Despite this, lung cancer receives very little funding - lung cancer receives only 5·3% of the funding for all cancer research (https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanonc/article/PIIS1470-2045(23)00182-1/fulltext).
