The UN calls the ocean the ‘lungs of the world.’ It also produces much of the oxygen in which we breathe. This Lung Health Awareness Month (May 2024) we want you to harness the collective power of the ocean, and its unique connection to healthy lungs, to remind yourself, loved ones, family, and friends how important it is to protect your lungs.

How you’re making an impact
Our mission to keep Australia’s lungs healthy focuses on prevention, providing information and creating tools and resources.
All funds raised via Plunge In For Lungs will support us in this mission. This year our goal is to raise $100,000 to ensure we can reach as many people as possible in our effort to keep Australia’s lungs healthy.
All funds raised will:
- Help educate young people on the risks of e-cigarettes/vaping and drive policy change to protect future generations.
- Inform and protect workers from the dangers of silica dust.
- Support people living with long COVID.
- Help drive policy change to reduce air pollution.
Challenge yourself and take a cold water dip this May to improve and protect lung health in Australia.
