About Shine A Light
The community walks aim to raise awareness, break stigma, and provide a place of support & to remember and honour your loved ones who have been affected by lung cancer. Join us on a community led walk to support the 15,122 Australians diagnosed every year. A lantern ceremony will be held, where you will be welcomed to share, listen & to take a moment to reflect with the lung cancer community. Register and show us how you are supporting Shine a Light on lung cancer, with one our our three lanterns.
Shine a Light Walk Brisbane
Join us for our Shine a Light Walk in Brisbane. We are excited to have food vendors supporting our event this year, with food available for purchase from Flavours of Eataly, The Bun Mobile and Munchi Donuts.
Date: Saturday 16th November 2024
Location: City Botanic Gardens (next to Palm Circle), 152 Alice Street, Brisbane City QLD 4000
Event details:
3pm - Food vendors available
4pm - Registration and lantern collection
445pm - Lantern ceremony
515pm - Shine a Light walk
A 2km walk around City Botanic Gardens, beginning from Palm Circle, walking via the Bunya Walk towards Riverstage and returning back to starting point.
6pm - Event close

With every registration for the walk, you will create a page where you can raise funds to support lung cancer research and support. Fundraise $100 on your personal fundraising page to receive your chosen lantern and T-shirt!
