This November, during Lung Cancer Awareness Month, I’m fundraising in memory of my beautiful Dad, Danny, who we lost to lung cancer on 9 June 2025.
Dad’s birthday is 5th November, so I wanted to turn a day that will always belong to him into something meaningful — raising awareness, supporting research and helping other families affected by lung cancer.
Dad loved the ocean and fishing, so Casting Hope for Danny feels like the perfect way to honour him and the life he lived.
Working in the Respiratory Department has made this cause feel even closer to home, and fundraising in Dad's memory means the world to me.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will support Lung Foundation Australia and help fund vital research, advocacy and support for Australians impacted by lung cancer.
