Trail to Triumph is a group of charitable people joining together to run an Ultra Marathon (250km) to raise much needed funds for people living with lung disease. Every dollar counts and by donating to Trail to Triumph you're helping build the awareness of lung disease and it’s severity to those affected.
​The Trail to Triumph Journey, fondly known as ‘Tony’s Journey’ was created in memory of Tony Britton who lost his battle with Mesothelioma. A rare and currently incurable cancer caused by asbestos, his son Mat Britton has since founded ‘Trail to Triumph, an annual event which tackles the arduous terrain, running 250 kilometres, to commemorate the life of his dad and raise funds and awareness of Mesothelioma.

 Hi everyone.
My names Corey and this will be my first time attending Trail to Triumph. 

TRAIL TO TRIUMPH - ULTRA MARATHON!
Trail to Triumph is a group of charitable people joining together to run an Ultra Marathon (250km) to raise much needed funds for people living with lung disease. Every dollar counts and by donating to Trail to Triumph you're helping build the awareness of lung disease and it’s severity to those affected.

I met Mat and some of Jarod’s other crazy running mates after he invited me to run alongside them for the Run for dad event leading into the Step out for Parkinson’s fundraiser earlier this year. 

As gruelling as that was I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with everyone involved and loved the comradery amongst the team. 

Over the past few years I’ve been watching the TTT on the socials and have always been in awe of everyone who takes part in this event.  It wasn’t until the recent run we did to sunny coast that possibly flicked the switch and made think about committing to the challenge. ( Or everyone on that run convincing me to go 😁😆)

As someone who has been in the house renovation and repairs sector for the past 20 -30 years I’ve had my fair share of exposure to asbestos dust as well as other airborne particles within the building industry. Because of this I feel a real connection to this event and the awareness and funds it creates for  Mesothelioma. 

I’m hoping to run this event with my son Cody who is 16 and is also new to the running scene. 
We will endeavour to complete the 250km course in 2.5 days.
