I will walk with my lantern because...
Our gorgeous daughter-in-law Abby was just 23 when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 ALK-positive lung cancer. She had never smoked or vaped, and her diagnosis was a confronting reminder that lung cancer does not discriminate—it can affect anyone, including young and otherwise healthy people.
That is why I’m joining Lung Foundation Australia’s Shine a Light Walk. I want to help put lung cancer where it belongs — in the spotlight — and raise desperately needed funds for research into better, more effective treatments.
Research is already changing lives. For people such as Abby, targeted therapies made possible by understanding genetic changes in cancer can change lives for the better. But there is still so much more to discover, and research needs funding to keep moving forward.
Please get involved in any way you can:
🚶 Walk with me on Sunday
15 November.

Share this post and help raise awareness that anyone with lungs can get lung
cancer.
Every person who walks helps make lung cancer more visible. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps researchers take another step towards better treatments and brighter futures.
I’m walking beside Abby, and for every person and family facing lung cancer. Please join me. ❤️
