James' Cut for Cancer

By James Baxter

I'm fundraising for...

Did you know lung cancer is Australia’s biggest cancer killer? Research offers hope and your support helps keep hope alive for the 15,122 Australians living with lung cancer.

After losing my grandpa to lung cancer about three and a half years ago, I wanted to do something to help people who went through the same thing by  raising money for lung cancer research.

My sister got to cut her hair to raise money and donated it to make wigs for people with cancer almost a year later and my dad did the same thing earlier this year. Wanting to join in and help raise awareness and support the research, I have been growing my hair for the last two years — and this November (Lung Cancer Awareness Month), I’ll be cutting it and donating it to help others.

Together, we can help shine a light on lung cancer and help fund research to make the future brighter for everyone affected.

With your support, Lung Foundation Australia provides seed funding for the best and brightest researchers to undertake projects that support discoveries towards the prevention, management and cure of lung cancer. Scientific breakthroughs can take years to accomplish but every dollar makes a difference to the lives of people impacted by lung cancer.

Where there is light, there is hope. Please support me and donate today. You will make a difference.
