Every year, the Shine a Light campaign raises funds to brighten the future for Australians living with lung cancer. With your support, Lung Foundation Australia provides seed funding for the best and brightest researchers to undertake projects that support discoveries towards the prevention, management and cure of lung cancer. Scientific breakthroughs can take years to accomplish but every dollar makes a difference to the lives of people impacted by lung cancer. Alongside research, practical support is just as critical, so we empower people living with lung cancer to make informed choices about treatment and management, through Lung Foundation Australia's Lung Cancer Support Nurse service.

Sunday 6th Sep ‘The day we all received the news, time stood still, the tears fell to the ground, all we had was time, and far too little of that we got..You were the one who didn’t ask for much, but gave your all, to all who knew you, knew you well, a family man, a Ford man, a beer or two, but your most recent role was a poppy to two, then along came number three who you never did see, but we know you are always looking down and not with a frown, but a heart so full of love and pride, I know you’ll continue to be by our side..
Because love always stays, long after we depart, you will always have a place in my heart’
So I have made the decision to shine a light this year.. for those who want to join me on this walk are very welcome,
However if you’d like to share or contribute to this heartfelt cause, that deserves so much more than a grand applause, but gratitude so deep that words can not express, but a love that is eternal and nothing less ❤️
