Tuffy's Kokoda Challenge

Shine a Light Walk Brisbane 2024

We will walk with our lanterns because...

Hello, and my apologies for the silence; it has been some time.

Around 11 years ago, Shane Talbot started Tuffy's Kodaka Challenge. The idea was to walk the Kokoda Trail and raise awareness for 'Lung Cancer Australia' on behalf of our friend and work colleague, Peter Tuffield, who was diagnosed in 2010.

This year marks 11 years since Daniel Tuffield took up the Kokoda challenge. 2024 will mark 10 years for myself

In 2024, it will also be 10 years since Peter (husband, father, friend) passed away.

As a family, we needed to take a step back, to process, and reflect.

A considerable amount has changed over this time: Chris is now happily married with a 5-year-old daughter. Matt is getting married in 2024. Daniel's work has led him across the globe. Margaret, moved to Brisbane to be near family and her granddaughter, she is thoroughly enjoying every moment of it.
