Less Than 2 Years to 5 Years of Light

Five years ago, I was told I had less than two years to live. Stage 4 lung cancer. Rare mutation. Brutal odds.

But God placed the right people in my path, the Lung Foundation and cancer association. They gave me more than a clinical trial; they gave me community, emotional support, and most of all, hope.

Against all odds, I’m still here. Breathing. Grateful. Praising God.

I’m living proof that medical research saves lives, and that charity is lifesaving. Because I received help, I now feel called to give back. That’s why I join the Shine a Light event every year. It’s my thank-you and my way of fighting for those still in the dark.
