In 2025, it is estimated that around 9,000 people will die of lung cancer in Australia. This is the most common cause of cancer-related death, and according to JAMA 2025 data lung cancer with no smoking history is now the world's 7th most common cancer.
More Australian women will die of lung cancer in Australia this year than of breast cancer, cervical cancer and ovarian cancer combined. Anyone with lungs can get lung cancer. No one deserves lung cancer.
