I'm fundraising for lung cancer-less future
Did you know lung cancer is Australia’s biggest cancer killer? Research offers hope and your support helps keep hope alive for the 15,122 Australians living with lung cancer.
Lung cancer is a horrible disease that affects so many Australians every day, and the worst about this disease is that it comes from the least expected circumstances and has the potential to cause the most detrimental pain. There is also a stigma attached to lung cancer that the person brought it upon themselves by smoking, however, 20% of lung cancer patients have never smoked in their life.
I am creating this fundraiser to ensure that one day the pain and suffering that lung cancer patients and their families have to endure will no longer be at such extremes and hopefully be something that no one has to experience at all.
Even though I won't be doing the Lantern Walk, I am looking to run 45 laps around Olympic Park Oval to help raise funds for cancer research on Sunday evening 08/11/2024. You may ask why the 45 laps, well unfortunately 45 loved ones are lost every day due to lung cancer, and hopefully, through your donations and sharing of this post, we can work towards reducing that number and one day help it reach zero.
