About Shine a Light
Shine a Light on lung cancer aims to raise awareness, break stigma, and provide a place of support & to remember and honour your loved ones who have been impacted by lung cancer. Fundraise to support the 15,122 Australians diagnosed every year. A lantern and T-shirt will be sent to participants who fundraise $100, to either walk around on Fair Day, or at a convenient time during November. Register and show us how you are supporting Shine a Light on lung cancer, with one our our three lanterns.

While Shine a Light Canberra looks different for 2026, we encoruage supporters to come and support by purchasing a lantern or t-shirt at our community stall at SpringOUT Fair Day. Or register to fundraise and participants who raise $100 will receive our brand new Shine a Light 2026 t-shirts and lantern. Wear your Shine a Light gear and enjoy the community event at Fair Day.
If you're unable to attend Fair Day, you can still register and fundraise to show your support. Within your own neighbourhood, walk with your family or friends during Lung Cancer Awareness Month in November.
